Biography of Benneth Hübner
Discover the story of Benneth Hübner, a creator born on January 6, 1973, in Lima, Peru. His life began under unique circumstances, as his mother was living in the Peruvian jungle during her pregnancy. That beginning marked a special sensitivity toward nature and the life surrounding him—a perspective that, over the years, became a constant source of inspiration.
From childhood, he discovered that his way of understanding the world was deeply connected to creation. Whether drawing, writing short stories, or imagining alternate worlds, he found in art a natural space to express himself. What began as a game gradually transformed into a deeper quest: to understand and convey—through images and words—that which is often difficult to express with gestures or everyday conversations alone.
His first impulse was to study art, but when exploring his options he chose graphic design as a meeting point between artistry and business. During his studies, he enthusiastically discovered photography, a discipline he would later deepen with further training.
In his artistic journey, he first worked with figurative paintings. Later, seeking a more intimate connection with the emotional and the sensory, he explored abstract art. After exhibiting his work for several years, he presented his photographic work to a renowned gallery, with which he collaborated and exhibited in different venues.
After a promising start, he decided to take a pause to focus on his personal and spiritual development. He felt the need to find answers, a restlessness that he recognizes in many artists. In that process, he discovered his essence, embraced his lights and shadows, grew, understood, and let go of what he no longer needed. Although his artistic production was less constant during that period, he found refuge in writing. As a result of that time, he published his first book at the end of 2024. More than twenty years had passed since his beginnings, and he finally felt ready for what was to come. At that moment, he defined his path. The first step would be to create an exhibition of acrylic paintings, watercolors, and digital prints inspired by his second book. This project is only the beginning of an ambitious agenda that includes painting, watercolor, photography, digital art exhibitions, and several books to be published over the next three years.
Benneth does not conceive art as a label—painter, photographer, writer—but as an integral way of living and communicating. For him, each work is an opportunity to connect personal experiences with the universal emotions we share as human beings. More than a profession, art is his way of being in the world: a bridge between the intimate and the collective, between the lived and the dreamed.
My first challenge is to publish ten books in the next three years, along with paintings and prints inspired by them. I feel like I’ve started anew, and this is just the beginning, as is every moment we live.”
Creative Process
He believes that inspiration is a constant pursuit and that there is no single answer. Many factors can awaken it: sometimes it comes from personal or external experiences, other times it arises from fantasy or dreams. He considers that, on occasion, inspiration appears as images, phrases that turn into stories, or ideas that seem to complete themselves as he writes.
For Benneth, creativity is linked to a natural connection with the world around us. He believes that during childhood we all maintain that openness to the new and the essential, but over the years many dull it by focusing on responsibilities and external goals—often in search of something they already had from the start: happiness. He feels fortunate to have kept that connection alive, which allows him to create with freshness and authenticity.
However, Benneth acknowledges that inspiration alone is not enough. A fundamental part of his creative process is methodical and organized work. Consciously and structurally building worlds opens up multiple paths: creating names that will later appear in a story, designing characters with their motivations, developing maps, family trees, or the history of cities. To this construction, he adds his own emotions, quests, and learnings, with the desire to convey all of this in every work.
